Dr Joy Philippou MBE in ‘Meditation Poems’ brings zest and a love of life to a modern way of quiet reflection, resolving what might seem this paradox in a way that is uniquely hers.
POEM

Turned On

In the colours of my darkness, I cognize space!
In the Circular light, I see love’s face.
My bounded freedom in silence grows
Pounding at my void, and my heart knows
My solitary fulfilment is ageless now
As youth disappears forgetting its vow.

Experiencing existence; floating on it stream,
How can there be sadness, if life is bit a dream?
Green grass essence wakens every nerve
With vibrating ecstasy, commands it to observe
And listen to life shouting at every portal
That only through death we become immortal!

The spectrum of life explodes in my brain
And human voices laugh, transcending the pain.
The music of our souls now mingle with lark song
We shall never die; and eternity is long…..
