Dr Joy Philippou MBE in ‘Meditation Poems’ brings zest and a love of life to a modern way of quiet reflection, resolving what might seem this paradox in a way that is uniquely hers.
POEM

Humanity

I AM; therefore the whole world is.
Without me being, the whole world would be
As though it had never been. Yes!
I am the beginning of infinity,
I SEE; therefore the whole world is seen.
Without me seeing, the whole world would be
As though it had never been seen. Yes, Yes!
Infinity begins where I begin.
I am GREAT; therefore the universe is great.
I am GREAT; therefore the universe is small.
Without me being great, the whole universe would be Smaller than small. Yes!
I am the beginning of infinity
I am NE. Therefore all that is one
Is one within that One that is I.
Without me being one,
The whole universe would be as though it had never been,
As though it had not been seen, and smaller than nonentity.
