POEM

Clutching  At  Straws Kicking In A Vacuum

You  are  talking, talking
Talking to Yourself or talking
To someone, somewhere unseen
Hidden in another space ;
Or to a mirage sitting in your mind.
It is confusing, one hears
A child talking, so the Observer
Begins to think it is a Real
Occurrence. Then there appears
An unexpected  missing Man
Out of a Vacuum : Your Husband.
He calms You down.
he Hole that haunted You
Gets filled, cutting the umbilical cord
Releasing you from ghostly phenomena.
Are You a Therapist, who was engulfed
By an unsettling happening that disturbed
Your Psyche that needed another Therapist
To cure You. It is problematic, more so
Because, inexplicably you run in the night
To the beach, it seems, to end your life
When a semblance of Balance seemed
To have been restored  ;  yet wanting to
Give Yourself up to the roaring oceanic waves :
Committing  Suicide. Why this act one wonders
When things seemed to have righted themselves.
The benevolent Waters delivered You back
To the quiescent Seashore. You are
Washed up but yet alive.
A bewildered being with a daughter
Who needs your comfort and care
