For me (what is important) with a background in education …why did I go into that sphere? It's to make life’s Journey as interesting and meaningful for everybody on that journey, to open as many doors as possible, to get people thinking about the world around them and to work with their fellow human beings, to make the world a better place, and to unlock as many stories of the past to find out why we are the people we are today, how we intersect with other people through history and different countries and places.

I'd always call myself ‘a people person’ so I love that interaction. We've had it here tonight (a reference to the gathering at which this interview took place) actually how different people's Journeys through life have intersected. I find that fascinating - so if you stay in bed, you're going to be ignorant of those things. Okay, you can find out a lot in our computer age but actually getting up out there is what I find exciting in life.
